Our Story

Founded to raise the bar for audiology care in Bradenton

Coastal Hearing Care was founded to bring doctorate-level audiology to Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, focused on education, best practices, and honest care rather than sales pressure.

Today, our team of Doctors of Audiology serves patients across the Gulf Coast from two convenient offices. We work with the major hearing aid manufacturers, use real-ear verification on every fitting, and follow up with every patient until they are satisfied.

We are proud members of the Dr. Cliff network of certified best-practice audiology providers, which means we meet a nationally recognized standard for quality of care and patient outcomes.

Questions patients ask

About our audiology team

What does a Doctor of Audiology do?
A Doctor of Audiology (AuD) evaluates hearing, explains test results, fits hearing aids, and helps patients manage hearing concerns such as tinnitus. Coastal Hearing Care's providers hold Doctor of Audiology degrees.
How is a Doctor of Audiology different from a hearing aid specialist?
A Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) completes doctoral-level university training focused on hearing and balance. That includes evaluating hearing, explaining test results, fitting hearing aids when appropriate, and helping with concerns such as tinnitus. A hearing aid specialist (sometimes called a hearing aid dispenser) is licensed mainly to select and fit hearing devices within the scope of that license. Training length and clinical scope differ by role and by state. Coastal Hearing Care's clinical providers are Doctors of Audiology, not sales-only fitting staff.
Who will care for me at Coastal Hearing Care?
Coastal Hearing Care's Doctors of Audiology are Dr. Kristin DesErmia, Dr. Danielle Marshall, and Dr. Arianna Davis. The team serves patients from offices in West Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch.
Where are Coastal Hearing Care's offices?
The West Bradenton office is at 3651 Cortez Road W, Suite 300, Bradenton, FL 34210, and its phone number is (941) 344-2761. The Lakewood Ranch office is at 5860 Ranch Lake Blvd, Suite 110, Bradenton, FL 34202, and its phone number is (941) 344-3575.
What is the difference between an audiologist and a hearing aid dispenser?
In everyday language, people often use both terms when looking for hearing help. An audiologist with a Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree is trained to evaluate hearing, explain results, fit hearing aids, and address related concerns such as tinnitus. A hearing aid dispenser (also called a hearing aid specialist in many states) is licensed primarily to fit and dispense hearing aids within that license. Coastal Hearing Care is an audiology practice staffed by Doctors of Audiology serving Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch, Florida.
Why choose a Doctor of Audiology for hearing aids in Bradenton or Lakewood Ranch?
Choosing a Doctor of Audiology means your hearing evaluation and device fitting are handled by a clinician with doctoral audiology training. At Coastal Hearing Care, fittings follow a best-practice approach that includes real-ear measurement on every fitting, and the practice is part of the Dr. Cliff AuD Approved / HearingUp network. Offices serve Bradenton / West Bradenton and Lakewood Ranch.

Our Values

What sets our practice apart

Doctorate-Level Expertise

Every provider on our team holds a Doctor of Audiology degree. You are cared for by a doctor, not a sales representative.

Best-Practice Verification

We use real-ear measurement and other evidence-based techniques on every hearing aid fitting to ensure your devices are programmed correctly.

Patient-First Philosophy

We take the time to educate, listen, and follow up until you are satisfied with your results. Your hearing journey does not end at the fitting.
